The Centrality of the Home.

Click on the picture to listen to a powerful and deeply insightful message by Dr. Voddie Baucham Jr. He is a preacher at Grace Family Baptist in Spring, Texas. It is only about 20 mins long so turn it on, do some work, and listen to a very wonderful Bible study.

I will be posting my thoughts on this in a day or two.

White and Nerdy

To cap off my two weeks of movie trailers, I have decided to change gears and show a music video. This is Weird Al's (yep, still alive contrary to popular belief) best video yet. Right up there with Amish Paradise and Eat It. This is a parody of Chamillionaire's Ridin Dirty, which if you watch on You Tube just makes this video even funnier.

My two week mini-semester ended Thursday, so I should be up for some more mind stimulating blogs in the near future. Hope you all enjoyed the videos.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

With all respect to the opinions of others, I enjoy the Harry Potter series. I don't wish to turn this post into a breeding ground for "Harry is of Satan and teaches witchcraft" because I am just posting these movies for my enjoyment. If you don't want to watch it or oppose it, check out classics like Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs or Beauty and the Beast or maybe Sleeping Beauty or The Little Mermaid and Lord of the Rings...yep, no magic used in those. Good versus evil, these movies are no exception.

Smallville

SMALLVILLE
Season 6
Thursday - January 18, 2007
7:00/8:00 eastern
Clark steps a step closer to his destiny when he joins forces with...
The Justice League

Fan or not, this is going to be an outstanding episode.
It is being highly reviewed by those who have seen an advance screening.
Variety said the following: "Despite the limitations of a TV budget, "Smallville" has always done a creditable job of bringing convincing production value to its hero- and villain-filled world -- a standard put to the test by the presence of four sidekicks along with the show's usual strange visitor from another planet."
Be sure to watch.

Fantastic Four 2

For those who were disappointed with the first Fantastic Four film (I was not one of them), perhaps the sequel will more than make up for it. One of my favorite non Superman characters is featured in this film. Should be very cool.

TMNT

Turtles in a half shell, TURTLE POWER! Yeah, its those crazy Teenage Muntant Ninja Turtles. If you thought they died with the 80's and Vanilla Ice, you (and I) were apparently wrong. They are back in this computer animated movie. Thank goodness for computer animation because those costumes in the first two movies still give me nightmares.

Evan Almighty

The sequel to Jim Carrey's smash hit "Bruce Almighty". This one doesn't star the former pet detetive, but has my favorite comedy star, Steve Carell.

Epic Movie

Next up is a movie that opens at the end of this month. Looks like a pretty funny spoof of all the recent hero/epic type movies out there including (but not limited to) Superman, XMEN, Wonka, Narnia, and even Borat.

Shrek the Third

So what is the great thing about school starting up again and me being busy? You get me doing a half cheeked job on my blog. You benefit really. I mean, who truely wants to read about what Christmas card won my twisted little game? Or who wants to read my opinions on the year that was? Not too many according to the ol' stat counter.

So, for the next few weeks, I will begin posting movie previews for the most anticipated movies of 2007. We start off with...well I don't really need to say because its the title of the blog. Perhaps I should change it in order to build suspense for this very moment. But doing so would take a lot of time. Time I just don't have to waste. Funny how time is like that eh? I mean, you have it and use it, but then when you need it it isn't there to be had. Sure, I could change it but think of the effort involved. Those 10 seconds are important and could be spent elsewhere. Alas, I shall leave it as it is. Boy, think of all the time I just saved.
